The Archer Daniels Midland Company will begin direct marketing of industrial ethanol products for delivery beginning January 1, 2003. The company has supplied industrial ethanol for the past five years through a joint venture with The Dow Chemical Company. Among its many uses, industrial ethanol is used in the coatings market.
“The addition of industrial ethanol will complement our existing portfolio of fuel and beverage products,” said Larry Cunningham, senior vice president of corporate affairs. “We are committed to a leadership position in the total ethanol industry and believe a direct presence in all three of these markets is critical in optimizing our business objectives.”
